One 36" length of Kovar tubing. This nickel/iron/cobalt alloy has thermal expansion characteristics matching those of hard glasses (such as borosilicate glass) and ceramics. Kovar is used in the manufacture of vacuum tube feedthroughs, scientific apparatus and hermetically sealed semiconductor packages.

This material is available in continuous lengths up to 3'. We can provide custom lengths, custom diameters or preformed parts economically. We can also manufacture complete glass-to-metal feedthroughs (please inquire).
